GETTING STARTED
The first thing you need to do is find a domain name for yourself. That is the "link" for your site similar to what you see in the address bar above. For example, this site is "wildrose.net". The URL is what people use to find you.
You can do it in two ways. One is to get your own dedicated domain name, the second is to use a tertiary or virtual domain name such as "mysite.wildrose.net". A dedicated domain name will cost you approximately $15.00 a year, and you will have to register one before filling out the following forms. A virtual domain is free, and we can do that right now, just add it below.
Dedicated Domain Name:
We recommend using DirectNIC as your domain registrar. Why? Because we know the people, they are very trustworthy and have good rates. Go to directnic.com and submit names that will suit your on-line personality, and see what you come up with. Once you find one you are happy with, register it with the information requested, but use the following nameserver information....
Nameserver 1: ns1.wrp.net
Nameserver 2: ns2.wrp.net
We will also be happy to do the registration for you, under you name (so you own it). Just ask!
If you already have a domain name, all you need to do is change your Nameserver information and you are ready to go.
